Mark Tungate really knows h I loved this book. Each chapter focused too much on the history of a certain brand but never really funneled back to a main thesis.

Bought this for my wife and she enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed watching her reading it I loved this book. It’s a very interesting read if you love sociology. Very interesting, but not interesting enough to finish reading. I particularly enjoyed chapter 7 The Stardust Factor which talked about Maximilian Faktorowicz who started as a wigmaker and a cosmetician at the age of 9 and ended up establishing Max Factor and Company in which is a known beauty brand to this day.
